Dr. Chung founded Retina Care of Washington in 2009. Since then, he has been serving the DMV area with locations in Laurel and Gaithersburg, Maryland. Meet the Doctor
Dr. Chung received his Bachelors of Science at University of Michigan and completed his medical education at State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his ophthalmology training at Detroit Medical Center under Dr. Gary Abrams, Dr. James Puklin, Dr. Dean Elliott and Dr. Jayne Weiss. In a residency with retina heavyweights, Dr. Chung like many graduates, chose to pursue the subspecialty of retina. He went on to complete a standard two-year surgical retina fellowship at Cleveland Clinic under the teachings of Dr. Hillel Lewis, Dr. Andrew Schachat, Dr. Jonathan Sears, and Dr. Peter Kaiser. Despite a strong pedigree for academic medicine, Dr. Chung decided to pursue private practice as a solo practitioner.
